Statement of Beliefs

The following can help the reader understand some of the basic beliefs of our faith.

The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.  From it everything we understand is derived and from which we follow its teachings.

There is only one God in three persons, also known as the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Mankind is made in the Image of God.

Marriage is a union between one man and one woman only.  This originated with God in the Garden of Eden between the first man and first woman, Adam and Eve.

Man sinned and fell from his relationship with God.  Because of Adam's sin, sin is passed upon all.

God has a plan in place for the redemption of sinners.

There is only one way to the true and living God whereby mankind must be saved. This is through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mankind must be converted by being born again to be save.

Water baptism by immersion is the outward sign that an inward work of God of salvation has taken place in our lives.  Water baptism does not save us.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a subsequent experience for the born again child of God.  The indwelling Spirit of God gives the Christian the power to live for Him and be a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Communion, also known as The Lord's Supper is commanded to be taken by Believers until the Lord Jesus comes again.  It is not to be taken by the unsaved.

The rapture of the church is the event spoken of in scripture where the dead in Christ and those alive in Christ will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air.  This event could happen at an time.  Be ready!

Heaven is a place prepared for those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation.  They are those who have had their sins forgiven and have been washed in the blood of Jesus.  Their names are written in the Lambs Book of Life.

Hell is a place that was initially prepared for the Devil and the angels that follow him in his rebellion against God.  Lost souls who have rejected Christ will be judged and sentenced to Hell which will one day be cast into the Lake of Fire.  All whose names are not found in the Lambs Book of Life will be condemned to this place for eternity.

The good news is Jesus came that we might have our sins forgiven by simple faith on the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins and we find acceptance and peace with God.
